The charge against one of the two defendants accused of group murder was dismissed, while the charge against the other defendant was changed from murder with severe circumstances to simple murder. The defendant who had been in detention for more than two years was released from detention.

Since 2020, the criminal case has been under review in the general jurisdiction court of first instance in the Kotayk region of the Republic of Armenia regarding our clients A.A. and A.S.A. for allegedly committing group murder and acquiring and possessing weapons and ammunition. These alleged offenses are provided for by point 7 of part 2 of Article 104 and part 2 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, adopted in 2003. The accused A.A. has been in detention for more than 5 years, while A.S.A. has been in detention for more than 2 years.
